The images  below show the translation from the original digital drawing to the final Risograph print. Risograph is a printmaking process that can be thought of as a cross between silk screen and photocopying methods, and involves laying down one ink color at a time. Its a fun (and often frustrating!) process of blending inks to make dimensional color combos, while also embracing the fact that the Riso version will never perfectly mirror the original piece. Though the colors can sometimes change quite a lot from the original during the printing process, I find this to be a fun and magical element of Riso printing. I like to play with that leap in palette, and I find that the Riso process can often reveal new things to me about the composition and how the color is operating in any given illustration.
